There is so much information on the internet these days and it’s hard to know what’s accurate, and that is where we come in. According to a recent survey by the I.B.M. Institute for Business Value, approximately 20% of more than 2,000 travelers worldwide said it took them more than 5 hours to search and book travel online. Aren’t you tired of trying to make sense of a million options? We'll cut through the endless amount of information for you, and be your value interpreter.

WE CAN GET SPECIAL TREATMENT THAT YOU CAN’T GET ON YOUR OWN - Thanks to my relationships with travel suppliers, I can often get amenities, upgrades and other special VIP touches that my clients don’t have access to.

OUR JOB DOESN’T STOP WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR TRAVEL - We make an effort to find great restaurants, book excursions that match your tastes, schedule golf tee times, and special activities. We also prepare our clients for travel, so there are no surprises. We check if your passports are current, assist you with packing lists, tipping guidelines, airport information, destination information and more. We’re the ones that sit on hold, checks fares, and pricing, saving you hours and hours of time.

WE ARE ONLY ONE PHONE CALL AWAY WITH 24/7 SERVICE ON YOUR TRIP- If you experience any unexpected surprises or issues during your travel. Just make one phone call, and we will take care of the rest. You will also have 24 hour access to us while you are traveling. Unlike the internet, you will not be placed on hold, and talk to a foreign person in a foreign country, who has no clue about your itinerary.

AVAILABILITY – We offer extended availability which includes evenings and weekends, and 24/7 service while traveling.

If you are looking for the cheapest deal, please note that the cheapest deals always compromise on quality, and in the end... you will always end up having to give up something that is important to you. This is also why we don't recommend the "cheap" resorts as you will always come back unhappy, and our goal is to provide exceptional memories an experiences.

How are you able to not charge a service fee? Only 20% of travel agents these days have a brick and mortar business. That means that 80% of travel agents decided to forego the storefront idea in order to lower overhead costs. What does this mean to you? It means that we don't have to charge you a service fee, upcharge your air, or tack on hidden fees to pay our PG&E. This also means that we can also pay our full attention to you, as you will not be worried about being interrupted by someone walking in. Because we are not limited to a strorefront, we are not tied to a desk, are more flexible with our hours, and can even meet or talk with you after 5 pm, even on weekends, which seems to be a huge benefit to our hard working customers.

We do charge a Plan to Go Retainer Deposit that is fully refundable and applied to your trip provided you book your trip with us. If you decide not to go on your trip or book on your own, the deposit is retained by us for services rendered.

Are you licensed and insured? Yes. all travel agents are required to maintain E&O insurance. Jeff & Kimberly are both accredited travel agents with CLIA, and hold certifications with many different suppliers as well. Our agency's California Sellers of Travel Number is 2063964-50 through Travel Planners International.

How do you get paid? This has got to be one of the biggest questions that we receive. What most people do not know is that whether you book online or direct with the supplier, a travel agent's commissions are always built in to the price. So, if you do not use a travel agent, the hotel or supplier will pocket that commission, leaving you with no one to assist you with your travel, except yourself. This is why it is always better to use a travel agent. We also have close relationships with our suppliers,so we are faster and better able to resolve issues without you waiting on hold with Expedia or Orbitz for three hours.

Why are you better than booking on the internet? Not only are we usually the same price or better than what you find online, but we are also able to assist you with other items as well such as maps, packing checklists, restaurant ideas, activities, entertainment, in room amenities, VIP service and so much more. Should there ever be an issue, we are your lifeline, and will be the first point of contact to get a resolution for you. Another benefit to using us is that we actually let the General Manager of the hotel know that you are coming, in order to maximize the possibility of receiving the highest care for your stay as possible. We also like to surprise our clients with extra touches as well.

I found a cheaper price, will you beat it? That depends on where you found it, and if it is apples to apples. I would be more than happy to take a look at it to ensure that you are getting everything that you are entitled to, and if there is a valid difference, I will ask my supplier to match it. We often find that sometimes the type of transfers, details, taxes, type of insurance, or even dates may be overlooked by our customers, so we are happy to check it for you. Something to keep in mind is that the room we sell you will be quite different from the room you will be getting through a discounter like Expedia or a similar type site.This is because all hotels have less desirable rooms that are still part of their inventory. For example, these rooms could be un-renovated, on the first floor, or overlooking a roof's steam pipe or a brick wall. I think you get the picture. These are the rooms that they sell to online discounters like Expedia and Groupon at a fraction of the regular price.

How long have you been in business? Kimberly Jacoby has been doing corporate travel since 2005, and became a travel agent in 2007. Jeff Jacoby retired after 21 years as a correctional officer for Fresno County in 2011, and opened up Romantics Travel that November.

Can we come by your office? We are mobile, which is another huge benefit for you. It also means that we can meet you anywhere that is convenient. This can include your home, your business, or the local Starbucks if you prefer. It also means that if you would like to visit us at our office in Madera, you may do so by appointment only. With fabulous technology, we can also offer consultations by skype, or simply do everything over the phone.
