The RCD app can be downloaded from the app store or on android, it will be a connection to the hotel, to your host, to daily activities and some key features to make the most of your vacation:

So you are off to a good start and you haven't stepped foot at the hotel yet, certainly take advantage of all of the inclusions but don't forget to also enjoy and take in the beauty of the hotel and beach while on vacation.
The ARRIVAL:
When you pull in to UNICO 20˚87˚ you take in a relaxed, modern Mexico feeling surrounded by the lushness of the Mayan Riviera. The check in process is simple, you come in and have a seat, relax, get excited for your stay. Meanwhile, you will be brought a refreshing cucumber, ginger drink (non-alcoholic) although delicious with gin as well. The check-in team will need your passport and customs card. After you are checked in, should your room be ready you will be taken to your room by a concierge or host.
The Anfitrion (HOST):
Unico offers personal hosts/concierge service for all room categories at the hotel. You will see the host or interact with them at your leisure or need. Think of them as your new best friend! They are there to help with in room needs, restaurant reservations, and any other needs or requests you may have. They are always working on the go, so if you don't initially meet them you can contact them with the phone app or simply stop by the front desk area and also be helped by the concierge team.
TIP: If you haven't already made dinner reservations on the app, make them with the host upon arrival:
This way you can try all of the restaurants. The Italian restaurant, Mi Carisa and the Mexican restaurant, Cueva Siete are the most popular. You can also pre-reserve dinners as well.
The FOOD JOURNEY:
There is no shortage of fresh food, local ingredients, fusion of flavors and intricate menus that covers all bases from the plain jane eater to the foodie (like myself) that likes to explore new foods and flavors without repeat.

24 hour room service that features the traditional and basics as well as elevated choices with twists on authentic Mexican choices. Along with food fresh juices and fruits are available.

2087 Restaurant is open daily with a buffet that changes daily, but the highlight is the made to order stations, featuring fresh omelets, eggs, tacos, tostadas, and crepes.

Cueva Siete is open for a la carte breakfast a few mornings a week, showcasing Celebrity Chef Christian Bravo's modern Mexican breakfast choices, and

last but not least stop by Cafe Inez for fresh pastries, salads, paninis, juices, coffees, and espresso drinks along with an array of frozen drink choices.

2087 restaurant offers an ever changing buffet of steamed food options changes daily, staples of fruit, veggies, chips and guac, fresh ceviche, breads, meats and cheese in only enhanced with the made to order stations. These stations feature fresh fish, steaks, chicken, and a pasta station. The refreshing flavors and customization of lunch options is sure to please if you don't mind a short wait while the chefs prepare your dishes personally.

Pool "Snack" options are amazing. You can order right from pool servers, and the choices range from classic buffalo wings and burgers to the elevated options of fresh, hand made pizzas from the brick oven, multiple ceviche options, and entrees that come with fresh sides. Don't forget tacos! Make sure you ask for their "salsa de arbol"

Ideas of What to order:
Mi Carisa (Italian): mushroom capacino (soup), ravioli, blue cheese beet risotto, BEST FILET at all inclusive is here Mushroom crusted Filet.
Mura House (Japanese): sushi is phenomenal, beef/shrimp red curry, The Yakitori all flavors, SALMON (Best Ive ever had - tame teriyaki sauce and flaky). Ask your host about the semi private room at Mura House holds 14 and they do an amazing tasting menu!
Cueva Siete (Mexican): table side guac, Catch of the day, Cochinita Pibil, Ribeye with hibiscus, Mayan coffee for dessert. Also the Hibiscus margaritas here are delicious.
Pool Food: The key is we call them snack bars and each pool has a different menu. The taco stand up bar by the swim ups is THE BEST!!!
Lunch at 2087 is half buffet, half made to order, lots of fresh items. 2087 the bar right outside is open to all and it is now Gin Time, featuring Gin cocktails. Entertainment and shows are all on app.
Room Service is SNEAKY delicious, the filet is just as good as restaurants, use APP to pre - order breakfast for the next day or a personal favorite pre order late night food while still at the bar.
Bar Balam the Xkeban spice infused vodka cocktail is sooo good. Ask the mixologists to get creative they are so good.
The ACTIVITIES:
Day time and night time activities vary daily and encompass a well rounded vacation experience focused on relaxation and wellness ft beach yoga and great fitness classes, group fun featuring mixology classes, water activities like volleyball and basketball. And don't forget upbeat and fun music based activities with a resident DJ who plays all genres of music and gets the pool activities going.
Night time will feature everything from local artists, to live bands, everything from Salsa to Rock, Casino nights for prizes, Mexican bingo for prizes, Blue Night on the outdoor terrace, late night dancing at Palmera Lounge, and every friday and saturday night UNICO guests can access Hard Rock's Heaven Night Club at 10pm from UNICO for $10 (Booked with Vacation Makers).
The ROOMS:
All rooms feature luxury amenities a traveler will expect with complimentary wifi, 24 hour room service, in room stocked fridge, snack basket, plush bathrobes (maybe the most comfy ever), a high quality steamer, iron and straighteners (available upon request), daily turn down service (can preset times on app or with host), and spacious rooms with 90% ocean views, first floor swim up suites that have a shared plunge pool with pool/garden views or secluded garden views in outer buildings. The Estancia Suite highlighted in this picture array showcases an oceanfront room and over 1200 sq foot of modern luxury to escape to with a great double balcony with plenty of space to kick back and take in paradise.

Spa Amenity Card:
When you get to your room there is a bowl in the bathroom with a card. Take it to the spa and you can have your own complimentary signature soap, customized scented lotion, bath salts, after-sun balm. TIP: We love the lavender-rose combination!

The Straw Hats:
The two straw hats in your room are yours to keep. They will have pop up artists near the pool usually once or twice a week who will customize your hat for you.

Check the schedule on your app to look for special pop-up events and local artists at work.

Snacks:
Your snack basket will be re-filled daily with a wide variety of yummy snacks. TIP: We also recommend ordering the churros from room service for dessert one night and snacking on them while taking a dip in your soaking tub or swim up.
The MIXOLOGY:
Bar Balam offers an escape into fresh flavors and ingredients, the mixologists careful craft cocktails based on covering all the senses. Premium spirits can be found all over the hotel along with the two swim up pool bars, a selection of Mexican beers, Bud Light, and craft beers make great additions to an array of liquors. The bartenders and mixologists love surprising guests with personal creations and also make the classics we are so used to. I challenge you to step away from your comfort zone and experience new flavors from some of the most talented staff out there.
The BEACH:
It is a long, narrow beach experience coupled with the ability to take long walks or jogs (minimal rocks I've seen), on this beach and calm waters. It feels very natural and untouched, there is beach seating with umbrellas and waiter food/beverage service. Also a water sports tent that features everything from kayaks to a hobiecat and paddle boards. It gives off a beautiful and exotic feel as you are surrounded by the lushness of the mangroves. The beach is cleaned every morning as continue to enhance the beach experience and atmosphere without disrupting the natural beauty of our mangroves.
